We strive to allign our Preschool Program with the #1 National Education Goal. Three and Four year old children are prepared to enter elementary school ready to learn. They are provided with opportunities to enhance their skills, knowledge, and abilities by participating in activities that are sensitive to community values, recognize individual differences, reinforce and extend their strengths, and assist them in overcoming their difficulties.
For families who need early morning and/or after school care we are licensed to care for children up to 12 years old. We are in the 7th District Elementary School and Hereford Middle School zone. Bus transportation to and from school is provided by Baltimore County. School Age children are welcome to attend on many days that schools are closed. An afternoon snack, some homework assistance and free play are offered. There is a large inside play area for times weather does not permit the children to go outside.
Weekly themes are explored over the summer break. Each week includes a field trip or a special program at the center. Some special visitors include Stoecker Farms, Science Guys of Baltimore, Dynasty Sports, Wildlife Adventure Camp, Wild and Crazy Entertainment Foam Dance Party, Abrakdoodle, Reptile Wonders, Pirate Magic Show Silly Bones, and a DJ school dance. The summer months also include visits from the Monkey Bus and Kona Ice. Some of our other activities include our annual St. Jude's Trike A Thon, tie dying, and frequent water and bubble play. Breakfast and an afternoon snack are provided.
